Absolutely crazy that I felt like I could relate to so many of your pieces! It was like a wave of emotions reading them! Some hit me more intensely than others, but all were meaningful.

Ahhh first off, I am so so proud of you! Honestly all these poems resonate with me. I almost feel like you were inside my head writing down my thoughts. I honestly cried reading these. Seeing your emotions written down and to the person I see now, you've grown so much. They're so special. I can't pick just one that I relate to, because they all speak to me especially now in my time of hurt. Love you so much Ran <3

[Poem: False Hope] Big feels here <3 I can for sure relate to this one. I’m not sure if it’s conflict or confusion or acceptance or hopefulness, but this is an inner monologue I know well.

“Cloud Nine” reminded me of how I felt when I first met my partner. We didn’t exactly meet on the right foot, and I fell for him quickly and it literally felt like I was living on cloud nine for a period of time…to the point where I would smile every time I saw him, similar to how it was conveyed in this poem.

You got me here because I did not necessarily expect for you to end like that, but it is a great connection to Glimmer of Hope…then the storytelling is solid. It allows for the reader to acknowledge those moments of struggle, but with Faith and Hope, you can continue to persevere.

The poems as a collective took me on a journey through similar past experiences where I fell in love with someone and ended up hurt. I went through a roller coaster of emotions which led me to a dark place emotionally, as reading these poems spoke almost identical to the feelings of emotions I had during those times.

“Clock Work” resonates with my life because growing up I always thought that things had to happen as they are planned and as I grew into adulthood and had lifetime experiences, I learned that everything falls into place at the right time…God’s time. With that being said, this is a poem that reflects how experiences in life contribute to growth.

This honesty is so incredibly important and you deserve an award for it. "and help build what will become" is so beautiful because it hints at a future where things are different (the fact that it hints at a future at all is huge).

Why did the words on your “My Reflections” painting make me tear up? You know they say the best art makes you feel something and that’s exactly what it did. Book ordered!!

“You’re in my blind spot – a threat to my being. I’m clueless as to where you stand.” This stanza and the following one may be my personal favorite considering the connection to a vehicle and also the abandonment issues you originally discuss, but now you are taking control of the situation and making the other person decide what things will be. Absolute fire.
